it's going to be an impressive building when finished, the best little boutique stadium in the country.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

It’s just amazing to me what it is now compared to the early 80’s. Our cross country coach took us to a game after the state meet in Wamego onevyear and it’s not close to the same place. That was also a time before Snyder and we got into the game free at halftime.
KSU was playing OU and had an incredible first half. I believe they were up 21-0 at half. We went in and it was all OU running off 28 or 35 straight. Went from excited to sick, but not really unexpected at that time.

gravel lots, band day, and all. whew! but, it provided a great foundation for what we have today.

I remember when it opened and we thought it awesome and, compared to the old stadium, it really was. Sure a far cry from what it is now, though and could have NEVER imagined it looking like it does now.

Me neither. I used to sell popcorn at the stadium from 1985-88. Huge improvements based on a big risk taken by men with vision.
