Not surprised. There is a reason his number is hanging from the rafters.

I remember him playing in Ahearn. His Mom used to work in the Derby Food Center. We used to say hello to her and ask about Ro after he graduated.
Win the dang day!

very cool.
If you have to be persuaded, reminded, pressured, lied to, incentivized, coerced, bullied, socially shamed, guilt-tripped, threatened, punished and criminalized...you can be absolutely certain that what is being promoted is not in your best interest

When you have to move Kareem to forward you know you have a pretty good team.

Pick 'Em

Lived in Dallas for a while in the mid 80s. Went to a Mavs games to see Ro play. They were playing the Nets. Got a General Admission ticket and sat up in the Uecker seats. There was a young boy apparently there by himself and we started talking. Very nice young man, about 10 years old. Turned out he was Buck Williams little brother and was there to watch him play. Buck was an all star player for the Nets. I didn't know if I should believe him sitting way up there, but he kinda looked like Buck.

Ran into Ro at a Cats game last year and approached him. Shook his hand and told him how I remembered him as a freshman at KSU and what amazed me was his quickness. The guy seemed to be at 3 places at once and his hands were just a blur. He was very nice. Just a class act. One of my favorites. Really nice to see some of our greats come back now and then.

I used to love watching him in the old barn. Those were really the days. Bramlage has some good memories but nothing like my college days. Maybe thats just my nostalgia
