My thoughts, picking the Cats 10th can make lots of sense for next season but his info and reasoning are garbage due to some glaring errors and omissions. What are your thoughts?gdgjr78 wrote: ↑April 25th, 2020, 11:24 pmhttps://bustingbrackets.com/2020/04/24/ ... son/amp/1/

He’s missing some new players and some errors on the transfer front, but the overall jist of his analysis seem logical. Finishing .500 overall and something higher than last would beat my expectations.Quietstorm5 wrote: ↑April 26th, 2020, 6:48 amMy thoughts, picking the Cats 10th can make lots of sense for next season but his info and reasoning are garbage due to some glaring errors and omissions. I’m a big BW fan, but the fan base will be calling for his head this year. It will be interesting to see what happens if he’s relieved of his duties. If he does survive this year, it will take a great year after that to save him. It looks like he’s putting the pieces in place, but will they all stay with the drama that will start this year with the fire weber crowd. I suspect it will be intense.

Bruce Weber's job is not at risk after next year. In fact, Bruce Weber will retire as KSU coach on his terms. Why? Because he's the only coach in the conference besides Bill Self to win more than one Big 12 Championship. Don't underestimate the value of that. Also, he has shown that he can rebuild a program after down years. Also, because his recruiting has gotten better after a few disastrous years. Also because there is not a replacement that can come to Kansas State and better the success that he's had. If you think you know of one, and can give me reasons why he would be better than Bruce Weber, then name him.
Weber is a coach who preaches defense. That is the ONLY kind of coach that can unseat Kansas once in a while. And as long as Dollar Bill Self is at KU, "once in a while" is the reality in the Big 12.

What is somewhat concerning to me is that it seems like the majority of teams have the most returning experience in the bigs. And several high ranked recruits are bigs. Big question how we handle that. But we have recruited well enough we won’t be #10.

"Alongside McGuirl are Dajuan Gordon and David Sloan, who played about as well as possible last season on one of the conference’s thinnest squads."
i'm just glad david sloan is back. that tells you all you need to know about this journalistic feast. but not surprising texas grad has his horns at #3.
this thread ought to be taken down for lack of content credibility, aka fake news.

Typical. K-State under-rated, Texas over-rated. If my memory serves me correctly I've seen this before. Nearly every year. Then we usually beat them.

I don’t really like this article, however Texas might have the toughest schedule in the country. They have the Maui invitational, Villanova, Gonzaga, an SEC road game against one of the better teams. They bring back everyone and a top 10 recruit.

The Big 12 will be back to being very, very, good next year. NBC sports has 3 teams in the top 7 and 5 in the top 25. Pretty much every team recruited well this year, there is a lot of talent returning and no new coaches. We could be a better team than last year and not have many more wins to show for it.

I agree with this. Ksu is most likely going to struggle again and finish in the 8-10 range in the league. I do think KSU will be picked last by media and coaches . If that happens the heat is going to be up on BW at the end of the year.Piedmontcat wrote: ↑April 26th, 2020, 2:02 pmThe Big 12 will be back to being very, very, good next year.
