Yep, I like it. Fun like sports should be, not advanced calculus.

I agree. This is a case of the deserters having their cake and eating it, too. OTOH, we have been scheduling games with other former Big 8/12 deserters (and have been playing NU in other sports) so I guess this is no different. Not a fan of it, though.

This is pretty close to a 2 for 1 deal. The "neutral" game is in the Sprint Center. I would say that's a pretty good deal.
As for playing former conference mates:
MU:
FB - Home in 2022, Away in 2023
BB - Paradise Jam in 2018 (W), CBE Classic in 2015 (W)
NU:
FB - N/A
BB - Neutral in 2020, Away in 2021, Home in 2022
CU:
FB - Away in 2027, Home in 2028
BB - N/A
TAM:
FB - N/A
BB - Away in 2018 (SEC Challenge) (L), Away in 2015 (L), Neutral in 2014 (W)
Many other Big 12 teams are, or will be, playing former Big 12 members as well. Texas A&M is the only one that really gets no interest from me, the other 3 have that old Big 8 feel.

Meh.... Do home and away please. That's what makes college sports so special. College towns, student sections, etc. ..

If we were talking Football I think you would have a valid beef. Nebraska and MU did not leave because of basketball, they left because of academics remember that line.
We are already scheduled to play CU and MU in football FYI.
