Baylor vs. Texas
31-27 with under 13 minutes left in game.....
Tristan Clark fouled out in 7 minutes with no points. Would have swore I was going to be seeing purple......

texas has so much talent but it's not in the coaching box.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

I guess I don't see all the talent on Texas. Saw a lot of talent on Baylor but not their best offensive game. 22 to 16 at half time.

know I'm wrong. know this feels absolutely wrong.
but I am rooting for Baylor to win the conference. shut out the flaws on the Kaw one more year.
setting up the opportunity for the Cats to win the KC tournament.

If you have to be persuaded, reminded, pressured, lied to, incentivized, coerced, bullied, socially shamed, guilt-tripped, threatened, punished and criminalized...you can be absolutely certain that what is being promoted is not in your best interest

last night fran said texas has had 13 top 150 recruits to baylor's 3 over the last 4 years or something akin to that. texas is loaded with talent. i can't imagine how good they'd be if weber was coaching there. but it's that way every year in austin. tons of talent, a pittance of performance.xtrawildcat wrote: ↑February 11th, 2020, 11:56 amI guess I don't see all the talent on Texas. No coach does less, with more, than Shaka. To have the resources and recruiting bed you have at Texas, there's no reason to not be at least a Top 25 caliber team, a vast majority of the time. He has to be on the hot seat. Rick Barnes was fired for doing a better job than Shaka has done.

Baylor is a quality team but them being the overall #1 seed is a joke. I'll have them getting bounced pretty early in the tourney. The Big 12 is vastly overrated especially at the top imo

Mark it down. They are already searching for a replacement. He will be fired, and what's funny is they won't get who they want. That place is a joke. The $, the access to recruits, but it's the entitlement that screws them. If I were a Chris Beard (or any other up and comer) Texas would be an absolute no for me, unless $ is more important than winning to you.KsJoey wrote: ↑February 11th, 2020, 12:32 pmNo coach does less, with more, than Shaka. Greg Marshall would be a good fit there. A weirdo going to the bigger version of Lawrence. And I think he has hit his ceiling at WSU. Just my opinion.

yep, wichita's marshall would be a logical choice to bring some discipline and focus to texas basketball. and he seems to have leveled-off with the shox, for sure. that's a valid take, wild.wild@nite wrote: ↑February 11th, 2020, 1:26 pmMark it down. as for baylor, i don't believe they have the firepower to win the ncaa tournament which is all about matchups and guard play, the latter being a real strength of theirs, i might add. baylor's really good, kinda like uva last year, but not great. i just hope they hold off ku for the b12 championship.
