Coach Mittie continues to dominate ku!!

Post by AlabamaLane » January 30th, 2020, 8:32 am

69-61 last night in Lawrence. Carr finally got untracked hitting four threes and scoring 20 points. Lee and Williams added 17 points each. Needed that win with the tough schedule coming up.

Ya, Lady Cats. Put those Squawk ladies in their place at the bottom of the conference -- just like the football team.

Ayoka Lee is very very good, and will have her number in the rafters

happy for the girls and especially happy to see carr's performance. the 1st quarter was pretty ugly but after that they played pretty well. lee does have a very bright future. hope we can recruit some good talent to build around her the next couple of years.

Good to see Carr finally contribute. Now, will she shoot nothing but bricks for the next 5 games or are we going to start getting some consistency out of her? Having a legitimate outside threat would do wonders for this team.

Apparently Jeff knows what most astute KSU coaches know, being able to beat the Squawks gets you lots of bonus points come contract time.

I wasn't able to watch the game. However, any time Carr gets 20 points, and we have an average performance from Lee and Williams, we will most certainly win. This team needs about 20 to 25 points total from Carr and Harris in order to win most games. Also note that the attendance in that dumpster field house was only 1743.

it has seemed a talented team from the getgo and an underachieving one all along. perhaps they have turned the corner. a lot of good women on this squad. williams is a superb student-athlete.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

I hate to be the one to point out the bad news here, but our only wins are the three last place teams, including one with the same big twelve record us us. The two teams immediately above us have already beaten us in Manhattan. We still have not beaten a power five school not in the big twelve in almost two years.
We will not end the season with a winning record, and end the season between 7th to 9th in the big twelve.
