Not a good way to end it, but I'll take all day, every day. This team continues to battle and let's just be honest, it ain't gonna be pretty. Any win is a good win, despite the brain farts. Hopefully, learning is occurring with these younger guys and it'll pay off next the next 2-3 years.

Well, he got benched in the final minutes of the game because he was playing selfishly and carelessly. He's the best pouter on the team. I'm not so sure we want him back next season.ksustars754 wrote: ↑January 29th, 2020, 9:51 pmHorrific body language and effort from Diarra at the end of the game. I’m not sure he returns next year.
Congrats to players and coaches.
I have oooooo so many things to say about the mental acuity and fortitude of this team, but I just won't because I want to be happy.
Take the W baby! Two in a row would be a beautiful thing.

and, enjoy win #2. it's BIG
If you have to be persuaded, reminded, pressured, lied to, incentivized, coerced, bullied, socially shamed, guilt-tripped, threatened, punished and criminalized...you can be absolutely certain that what is being promoted is not in your best interest

The way this team finishes games has to be concerning. I'm sure Weber has studied all of the meltdowns and has some kind of plan to correct this, but so far, that plan is not working. It seems to me that we get too tentative on both ends of the floor. We're trying to do two things that we don't do the other 32-35 minutes of a game. We are passive offensively, by milking too much clock, which leaves us little time to get a good shot, especially since we don't have an abundance of players who can get their own shot. Secondly, we back off defensively, like we did tonight, being afraid to foul.
Two strategies that lead to unassertive play. That's how teams come back on us. We allow it to happen.

You take the good with the bad, with Cartier. You still want your best player back next season, and yes, without Sneed, Cartier will be our best player. Maybe we get lucky and a freshman surpasses him, but I definitely wouldn’t count on it. Cartier is the only guy that can create his own shot.

Diarra is the best player n the team. He wasn't making shots tonight. He was able to create wide open shots for himself that he missed. He also created wide open shots for others that they mostly missed. Get him to make a few and we will be hard to beat.

Do you realize that if you left out McGuirl that both teams combined to shoot 7 for 40 from 3 last night? That was some awful shooting. Sloan had a nice night except for shooting and had some nice plays on defense! 5 assists 0 turnovers from your main ball handler.....
