rachel ranke

Post by greycat68 » December 16th, 2019, 9:00 pm

rachel will have season ending foot surgery after the holidays. she has tried to play through the injury the past two or three weeks and it has severely limited her production. she further injured the foot saturday in the first half against umkc, and that has ended her season. she should be recovered and ready to practice by the first of the summer.

also on the injury front, ashley ray will have season ending knee surgery this week. she injured the knee in practice last week.

savvy simmons continues to be out indefinitely with a lower leg injury. she is still not practicing.

not much good news

Welp. I guess this gives Mittie an excuse for year 6?

Not that he was going anywhere

Got any top players coming in next year? Emily Ryan?.......just kidding

Thanks for the update, but this is terrible news! Ranke had not been herself for several games now, so this explains why.

One has to wonder why she was allowed to play if there was further risk of (significant) injury.

Lol. My thoughts exactly. When I saw this, my first thought was, now Mittie has his excuse for another underachieving season.

Seriously though, we have a 4 and 5 who will likely both average a double-double. If he cant finish top4 in conference with this team, dude needs to go.

point of interest. rachel will be eligible for a medical redshirt year should she choose to pursue that option. that would give her two more years to play instead of just one.

I believe Rachel will be excercising that option Grey cat. It will be nice to see her finally get healthy and play without all the injuries and illness she has played through the last two seasons.
