Re: WSU vs OSU
Spot on analysis of Marshall and the program Gor! Have you attended any of his practices?? I did once and do not have any desire to go back! Could not ever send a kid to play for him. Brings profanity to a new level.

Yep puff, have seen a couple of his practices, the last being maybe three years ago. His back was jacked up so he coached the entire practice from a chair at half court along the sideline, but it didn't slow down his language any. After watching that practice I wasn't surprised when the Reeves kid transferred last year. He was the target of the vitriol that day.

Pretty reliable source that his transfer was due to his activities with one of Marshall's daughters . Take it for what its worthGorhoops wrote: ↑December 10th, 2019, 1:11 pm

Are you Marshall was unhappy he was seeing his daughter? Or maybe the daughter is as nutty as her mother?gdgjr78 wrote: ↑December 12th, 2019, 1:56 amPretty reliable source that his transfer was due to his activities with one of Marshall's daughters . Not to discredit WSU, but OSU’s best player, 14ppg, 5 rebs, 5 assists, did not play. Still a good win.

They seemed to handle OU without much problem. They are certainly much more physical and athletic than the Big 12 teams. I will be interested to see how they stack up with the likes of Memphis.AlabamaLane wrote: ↑December 12th, 2019, 8:50 amNot to discredit WSU, but OSU’s best player, 14ppg, 5 rebs, 5 assists, did not play. It’s too bad KSU and KU avoid playing WSU, although I’m afraid KSU would generally be the third place team in a three horse race.
Wichita seems to draw nice crowds, but they have a lot more people. We’re two hours from civilization so a Thursday night game isn’t going to be well attended. Especially when we typically play teams like the Topeka VFW (the YMCA is too good and we wouldn’t want to risk a loss). One thing that would help the KSU attendance would be to play someone with a pulse once in a while. Cool that we played Marquette. How about we play a few decent teams in the non-con. It’s probably a little better now than the Martin days, but it still sucks.

the ou/wichita game was competitive to the end. nice win for marshall. anyone suggesting he's not a very good coach isn't paying attention or something worse.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

The guy’s a terrific coach. He’s not a Kansas guy and a lot of fans in Kansas tend to dislike any coach that isn’t a former player or doesn’t have a regional lineage. It’s haunted Weber since he started.

Wsu has run circles around KSU when it comes to frontcourt recruiting the past few years. They had a bunch of freshman that led them to a victory against a quality Lon Kruger led ou team today.
