Cats clobber ORU

Post by ToledoCat#2 » November 19th, 2019, 10:22 am

Tried to watch the Lady Cats game on ESPN+. The first Q was perfect. But then the damned thing locked up during the commercials at Q-change and never could get it to start up again. ESPN is the absolute pits for us folks with sketchy internet.

However, saw this a.m. that the Lady Cats scored more than 100 points in the game and Crissy Carr had a ton of 3s and Lee scored 20 and team had 4 in double figures. They scored 33 points in the opening Q.

Good game for getting everyone some experience.

this was an impressive victory. oral roberts is not a bad team. i think they are favored to win their league. they recently thumped wichita state by over twenty points and their only loss had been to arkansas who is ranked some wher around 15th in the country. if you haven't come out to watch this team play, you should. they have size, shooters, and depth. when peyton williams is finished with volleyball and gets into basketball full time this team has a chance to do very good things.

Pick 'Em

this is clearly mittie's best squad since arriving. they are athletic, deep and talented. lee is a huge [sic] addition not only because of her size but the ability to defend and score. carr seems to be coming into a form we expected of her when recruited. williams has a silky jump shot and is a steadying influence on the squad. and it's nice to see ranke attacking the goal, not settling for treys even though that is a strength. she looks stronger and in better overall shape this season. further, harris is a good and necessary addition at point guard. this team is going to be upper half and maybe make a run at baylor. obviously, i really like what i've seen to this point in time. our family will see them early december in bud walton arena while visiting arkansas. also understand they play at oregon, a team that, quite incredibly, just beat the usa national team. so, k-state's schedule will certainly be good prep for the b12.

EUGENE, Ore. – Top-ranked Oregon did something that few teams have done in the last two decades – beat the U.S. women's national team. Sabrina Ionescu scored 25 of her 30 points in the second half to lead the Ducks to the stunning 93-86 victory Saturday in an exhibition game.Nov 9, 2019 USA Today
