I'm glad you mentioned the word, "instinct". This is spot on. D. Gordon has basketball, natural instinct. In every game this year, the young man has come out of nowhere to snag an offensive board. He's explosive quick along the baseline and uses his body well to protect the ball when going up for the shot. This happens almost every game, also. Finished a drive along the baseline in front of me, last night, that I did not believe he could finish. I was watching him, during a break in the action as the team was still on the floor, and everything about his demeanor shouts, "baller".ksustars754 wrote: ↑November 14th, 2019, 6:49 amAnd a miserably bad call at that. I can’t believe they made that call.
I love Dajuan in general on the offensive boards. He has great effort combined with great instincts as to where the ball will come off the rim. It’s super impressive.
I notice that Xavier speaks to him all the time....something one might not catch while watching on TV. I believe X sees the potential there.
I need to mention a few others, also. David Sloan played a very good second half. I like this young man a lot. He had two drives of beauty last night with a defender in position to thwart his drive. Both times, he made great moves with the basketball. He is probably the best juco transfer we've had for a long while. Montavious Murphy continues to impress after having been thrown into the fire so early. The young man works hard on defense. If his first couple of shots had fallen last night, he would have put up his best numbers.
