bballparent is right. nothing to worry about. entire team will be available friday night, including peyton. beard, goodrich, macke and ebert should give us good depth off the bench. i think chapman will too. she looks really smooth and has an excellent shot.

hard to make any conclusions without the 'stars' playing a minute. but what i saw last night was impressive to a point. lee could be a dominator in the middle like nichole was in the past. the team seems way more athletic. and they're playing solely 'man' defense, which i believe is essential to being in the b12 top tier. overall, a nice first/exhibition outing.

The potential for Lee is light years ahead of any post we've had since Ohlde. Nice footwork, soft hands, good shot in close, works for rebounds. She'll have a lot of trouble this year staying out of foul trouble. But, I love her potential. The others on the team looked far better than last year. After Washburn torched them in 3rd period, the Lady Cats settled down and won comfortably. Ebert looked good. Harris is a gamer. Solid outing without 3 stars.
Anyone know why Ranke and Carr were sitting out?

bballparent knows why they were sitting but don't expect an explanation other than it wasn't a major violation. they probably missed or were late for something would be my guess. both are smart women, it's surely not academics or drug related.

JEFF MITTIE, K-STATE HEAD COACH
On Rachel Ranke, Christianna Carr, and Emma Chapman not playing tonight...
"They procrastinated something that I wanted everybody to get done before the season. They'll play on Friday. They got it done, they just didn't get it done when I asked them to get it done. They are fine. They got it done but I think the message is, hey we aren't going to procrastinate things. I was proud of our group tonight, I thought we did some great things, and we will have Peyton (Williams) for Friday as well, so we'll have a full bench on Friday."
