Getting healthy I hope.

I am not optimistic about us getting better or simply maintaining. Our signature win against Mississippi State now looks like we barely beat a really bad team. Mississippi State got beat today by a 1-4 Tennessee team. People say that our defense should be good but Chuba Hubbard went for almost 300 yards. Baylor had a 3rd & 22 and picked it up easily with their 2nd string quarterback coming in cold. Defense has been gashed many times. The offense is offensive. Prior to the Baylor game, there was a lot of talk about K-State getting back to its strength, running the ball. What do we do to start the game, pass play, pass play, pass play, punt. Either we don't practice it, or the coaching staff doesn't have confidence in Skylar or the offense to run a hurry up offense toward the end of a game when you're trying to mount a comeback.
I don't know how you fix this many problems.

Unfortunately, my optimism has been reeled in after what Tech did to OSU, then watching Baylor vs Tech today. I believe Skylar is the 9th or 10th best QB in this league, and if we are ineffective running it, as we have been the last two weeks, we're in trouble.
I started the season thinking 7-5, then after MSU, thought 9-3 might be attainable, but I'm to 5-7 now after what I've seen from us and the rest of the conference. We just don't have playmakers at QB or WR, compared to the rest of the conference.
No fault to this staff or last staff, just reality. Imagine if we had McCoy at RB, Corey Sutton, Zuber, and Rison at WR all on the field together. Bad breaks and we have to recruit out if it.

Just pump the brakes folks. Let the coaches do their job and lets see what happens when they get back from the bye week. Defensively, we need to stop allowing big plays. Offensively, we just need to execute more consistently. There are plenty of winnable games left on the schedule. Don't try to project wins and losses at this point. Honestly, I can see this team being capable of winning any game on the schedule - and I could also see them losing to any team on the schedule. Just sit back and enjoy the process. We've very capable of getting 6-7 wins and a bowl game. Just let the coaches coach, and the players play.

we'll know next weekend when we play the frogs if this going to be an interesting or horrid year. coaches have to get the d and o'lines figured out. i have great faith in ck's coaching ability. he has his hands full, for sure. so, we'll see soon enough.
that baylor/txt game was best of the day. however, it was a very bad call that won the dang day for da bears.

I didn't watch the OU/Texas game yesterday, but I did watch the highlights earlier today on YouTube. Some good lessons here for our guys.
Both QBs did a nice job of stepping up in the pocket to make good throws and both QBs seemed not afraid to run the ball. On defense, Texas' tackling looked terrible and OU's defense looks much improved from last year. Hopefully, our guys will watch that game and learn from two very good teams.

qb not running the ball.
If you have to be persuaded, reminded, pressured, lied to, incentivized, coerced, bullied, socially shamed, guilt-tripped, threatened, punished and criminalized...you can be absolutely certain that what is being promoted is not in your best interest

I think there’s reasons not to completely pump the brakes. This staff and team had two weeks to prepare for OSU and the offense completely laid an egg. Completely.
I read that after the game HCCK told the players not to change. I think the offense especially took those comments literally as they had almost a mirror image performance against BU.
Both KSU and TCU have two weeks to prepare. I firmly believe Patterson will have his team prepared and ready. I can’t say I feel as confident about HCCK, but I most definitely hope he proves I should have been.
