Gun confiscation...who would enforce it?

Post by bindweed » September 9th, 2019, 12:52 pm

Would local police have to enforce it? Would the military have to enforce it. Would the FBI have to enforce it. Maybe Homeland Security would have to enforce it. I'm not sure who would be in charge.

That's what gun owners said in England and Australia most recently -- and in Berlin, Moscow, Italy, Cambodia, China -- not far back in time.

Some form of law enforcement will make a few powerful examples out of some high profile gun owners who refuse to turn in their guns, and then the rest of us will be like lambs and meekly turn them in.

Unless, Americans becomes the exception to the global example, and actually fights to keep our 2nd amendment intact to oppose oppressive government. Doubtful it will happen.

Decent logical people want to take guns away from law abiding citizens, even though owning a gun is protected.

So why don't those decent and logical people want to take guns away from the criminals? You'd think those decent logical people gave a rats ass about the gun violence in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, and New Orleans every weekend, but sadly, they don't care about those places unless you force them to 'care' about it. And those decent and logical people know that what they pine for won't stop the shootings in those cities.

Who would enforce gun confiscation? I remember when a lot of government agencies that really had no business buying up guns and ammo were doing just that. Under Obama.

A lot about Obama's administration was laying groundwork. ObamaCare set the stage for single payer, for example. The three letter agencies did their 'role' during the last election, but they failed Obama and Hillary as they tried to spy and then unseat a duly elected sitting US president. I think we would be in a very different place had Hillary won. Weaponized IRS, FBI, CIA, along with several other agencies would have made this gun confiscation bent much more real, as the police state would have started to flex their muscles, as chemmy, giddily euphoric, would realize that leftist utopia he and his leftist millenial friends want so badly.
'To be a leftist means that one has to ignore the obvious....Social justice, enviornmental justice, racial justice are all oxymorons. These kinds of adjectives for justice do not denote actual justice. Only justice is justice.'

there's a case to be made that decent, logical people are thankful that HRC did NOT win the election.

I assume that the reason for gun confiscation is to save lives, which is what decent, logical people want. BUT these same decent, logical people are also the people that support killing babies. So where is the logic there?
