The same reason as every other prognosticator of the Big XII has stated. While Klieman may have been a great coach at NDSU, at this point there is nothing to suggest that he will have the same or similar success at this level. There is less parity in the P5 schools than the FCS, as far as money, staffing and recruiting talent goes. Isolated success may or may not have any value at this point.

i wouldn't expect ck to win 4 national championships in a row following bill snyder. but are you saying he has less background than say the north texas coach to succeed in mhk, meaning competing for championships like or better than snyder?MajorAppleCat wrote: ↑August 12th, 2019, 1:34 pmThe same reason as every other prognosticator of the Big XII has stated. I know very little about the North Texas coach. I have no opinion of him.tmcats wrote: ↑August 12th, 2019, 2:24 pmi wouldn't expect ck to win 4 national championships in a row following bill snyder. but are you saying he has less background than say the north texas coach to succeed in mhk, meaning competing for championships like or better than snyder?MajorAppleCat wrote: ↑August 12th, 2019, 1:34 pm

Why are you skeptical out of curiosity? Any specific reason? No sarcasm meant. I'm genuinely curious to hear what you are skeptical about. I mean, I know that few coaches are slam dunks, just thought it would be interesting to discuss. I'm ready for some football talk.MajorAppleCat wrote: ↑August 12th, 2019, 12:45 pmI do not confuse hope/aspiration for the best with sunshine pumping. If Klieman turns out to be a great coach in the Big XII, I will be the first to laud his successes. Until then, I am a skeptic.KITNooga wrote: ↑August 10th, 2019, 6:22 am
just another dumb question from a LFBIQ dude: why does having hope/aspiration for the best have to be evidence of 'buying the Kool-Aid'?
can't it just be enough to be here, on the cusp of a new season, new coach, all a-twitter with anticipation as to what we will see? not just opening game, season, but for the coming years as the program progresses under new 'management'?
