This is about the 7th one of these I have posted. Sorry if I did not meet your expectations. Moving forward I will summarize, in business brief fashion, for those that are late to the party.
Win the dang day!
A Major part of Gene's job is to help sell KSU to the fans and the public.
One thing I respect is that Gene doesn't spend a great deal of time is BSing -- he lays it out there and there are sites you can go to to easily fill in the details.

interesting take, ark, but i see him just the opposite holding everything close to the vest. he's said the same thing over-and-over again about the master plan as an example. he alluded to season ticket sales being in the 40k range but never gave an actual number. interestingly, he never said boo about weber's usa championship run.
sidenote: but i find it interesting that he uses smoller for these interviews rather than wyatt.

Why is there something rather than nothing?
Ever been HC or AD at any level? I have been both.by tmcats

Completely different world. Much like being a politician. Some things are N-O-T for public consumption.

let me put it this way, john currie was much more open than gene taylor. i like both. but they have very different approaches to their jobs and the fans. currie was often on social media "showing off" things. he'd have been in his hardhat on a half dozen videos about the baseball and soccer renovations. taylor is much more reserved.

GT is a clown. I have written to him by email. He has responded in a nonsensical manner. It related to the coaching search before he hired is buddy. While the response sounded like it came from a knucklehead, the most amazing thing was that he responded to me. If I had forwarded his response to the general public, he would not have been viewed in a bad light. A smart AD keeps the big money donors happy. That is his job. Responding to a low level donor makes no sense.
Wait, you think he's a clown for responding to a low level donor's email?
