SIAP, but with so many undecided players left in the NCAA transfer portal, are there any players/positions we are still recruiting for the 2019 class? Or are we out of scholarships to give for this class? TIA.

Just saw where we picked up our first commitment of the 2020 class. It is Nate Matlack, a WDE out of Olathe East H.S.

Nate is currently the #5 player in the state of Kansas in the 2020 class according to Rivals.com.

Welcome Nate!

The seal is broken, hopefully this leads to more commitments. If compared to last year, Nate would be the 5th highest player on that class.

Nice pickup! From my understanding, it was expected. He and his family are big KSU fans/alumni.

I'm not sure if we had much of a chance, but Turner Corcoran has committed to Nebraska. Good looking o-lineman from Lawrence. At least he didn't go to KU or OU.

Hopefully recruiting picks up here soon, it seems like the same old so far, watching the higher rated kids from Kansas leave the state to play ball is frustrating.

I'm not surprised. It seems he was a Nebraska lean the whole way.

It's going to take a couple of years, just like at NDSU, to begin picking up higher levels of recruits which HCCK was better at than Bohl.

Best take I've read so far about what HCCK will do at K-State --- https://www.footballstudyhall.com/2018/ ... kota-state

That sounds like a winning formula ArKSU. Snyder had a similar philosophy that led to success right up until the end, where it seemed the offense had become too predictable.

One thing that makes me believe we will do just fine recruiting is the success of getting kids to Fargo. This may be the coldest place in the country to play college football.
