What in the world is wrong with this mans feet? I mean I have never seen a player with so many foot issues.

I don't think that will be official until the day before the game during the official team press conference after the practice session.
Here is what Weber said tonight:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrVL292sHbI 31:10 mark "We'll just wait and see how he's feelin, he says it feels better than it did 2 days ago. We've kept him in the boot, he did treatment all day today he'll do it all day tomorrow and then lots of hope and prayers that maybe we find a way to get him back."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lS4HyPq4cE4 2:10 mark "We hope Dean's back next week, but who knows"

It would be difficult as coaches and players to prepare for a game when you don't know whether or not an all-conference player will be able to play or not.
I know they have done this before and I know they are veterans but it still would be difficult. It would be like working on a major work project with the deadline coming up and not knowing whether or not one of your very best co-workers/subordinates can participate at all, part-time, etc.

Their just putting their own interpretation of what Bruce said in the post game. Trying to be the first to report something.
As mentioned by Wichitacat, they’re not going to announce anything definite until the day before or day of. And why would you even if you happen to know for sure he can’t. You still want whoever the opponent is to have to spend time preparing for anything.
I think if I made my own statement that there was a 90% chance he will play, it would carry a much authority.

The committee will probably take this as gospel if ESPN is reporting it. Quite likely to hurt our seeding for the tournament.

Most likely that's why they reported it.kinsleycat wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 1:02 amThe committee will probably take this as gospel if ESPN is reporting it. Quite likely to hurt our seeding for the tournament.
Or....now stay with me....it might just be newsworthy.learnin wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 1:17 amMost likely that's why they reported it.kinsleycat wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 1:02 amThe committee will probably take this as gospel if ESPN is reporting it. If it is really based on how Dean "feels", then he will likely give it a go in my opinion. Particularly after missing the NCAA tourney last season, I don't see Dean sitting this one out if it is just a matter of overcoming pain.
If KSU is a 4-seed matched up against a 13-seed, then KSU may suit him up and keep him on the bench to see if they need him in that game. If KSU takes control of the game, they may save Dean for the Saturday game against the 5-seed. The same probably applies if KSU is a 5-seed against a 12-seed, but the chances of needing him would probably be greater.
I have zero inside information obviously, but given how active he was even immediately after the OU game, I find it hard to believe he will not give it a go at some point in the NCAA tourney. The doctors may have found a problem they are not discussing publicly, of course, but if it is just a matter of pain, I think he will give it a try.

remember, espn had txt as the #1 seed in the b12 tournament. media often get their facts wrong.
Why is there something rather than nothing?
