There were definitely missed opportunities in the 2nd half but the 1st halves this year are mind boggling. It’s a different squad after halftime.

Just got killed on the boards 43-29. Jacobson continually climbed over our backs and was never called for it. Bottom line is You have to rebound better and/or shoot a lot better.

Considering KSU was basically playing five guys, it may be just as well that KSU does not have to play tomorrow. The big prize is five or six days away now. Hopefully KSU will have a full roster of rested and "healthy" players available for their first NCAA game.
A huge plus from this tourney for KSU has been the play of Cartier. If KSU can get Dean back and Kam plus Barry plus Sneed rested, they could be a pretty tough opponent. Mawien and some of the bench guys also got more tourney experience. Overall, a successful Big 12 tournament for KSU.

Would've been great to win but....probably doesn't affect the seed, and team is obviously exhausted now; not much wld've been left in the tank for tomorrow. Barry and Cardi weren't making mid-range shots or layups which were all in among the trees; all we really had going were 3s and D. Between 10 and 5 minute mark ISU just stopped playing: came down, launched a 3, had nobody underneath to rebound. We never would have come back but for that stretch. This game shows the problems with "going small" like KSU did yesterday.
Got to get healthy.
Got to get healthy.
^^^This was absolutely the difference, combined with Barry's drive that culminated with a weak shot that didn't even draw ironFullypersuaded wrote: ↑March 15th, 2019, 8:07 pmThose 3 consecutive missed 3's hurt us. We could have gotten better shots. The thing I hate the worse is KU will likely win this thing.

Without Wade, they are the better team. Maybe even with Wade. Can’t get out rebounded like we did and expect to win a game.

I dispise ku as much as any program, but the isu players I dispise even more(this year). Those guys are dbags. I’ve never disliked ISU players like this in the past. The KU players just suck by association to their program, though they’ve had more than their fair share of trash over the past couple decades.
Best case scenario is WVU wins this thing... but I don’t see that happening

A 4 seed should be expected, if there are more upsets (like FSU over Virginia) and we could be dropped to a 5.

Pretty miraculous that we were in this game after shooting 34% from the floor, getting out rebounded by 14, and giving them 9 more free throws.
