Federalism is the way to go. Don't force our ideas on one another, just creates resentment. Let us govern ourselves at the state and local levels AMAP. Kansas can give a shotgun and a box of shells to every new baby. New York can give a head of kale and a box of green tea.

... New York, and a free ticket to a "Three-Initial" seminar on socialism.

Statism is where the government has control over all social and fiscal affairs of a nation. Bernie's democratic socialism is power obtained by having people vote for statist politicians who kill individual liberty so it can be replaced by control of the masses. Republicans should harp about the true bear lurking in the woods, statism. Socialism is like a squirrel not a bear

The Dems suck. Trump wins a second term. I hope the GOP wins back the House. They will get at least two more SCOTUS picks and a ton of other federal judges. The GOP would have all three branches of government. If things go wrong, they can't blame the poor, minorities, and immigrants.

In the next four years, the deficit will surpass the trillion dollar a year mark. Social Security and Medicare still need tweaked. Obamacare will be replaced by something much better. Or so I am told. There will be a recession, regardless of who is in charge, The GOP will have no barrier to doubling down on tax cuts and implementing fiscal austerity. I think it will be entertaining as hell.

On the bright side. They can ban abortions. Build the wall. Make more nukes. Cut more taxes. Ban gay marriage. Get the Christian version of God back into schools. And whatever else is a right-wingers wet dream. I am also sure that they will stick it to socialism, except as it relates to corporations, farmers, and anything that benefits suburbia and rural America
Right wingers dream? Hardly.

Supreme Court is not going to ban abortions; at most it will be left up to each individual state... which is what it ought to be.
The only reason a wall is being built is because the immigration laws are not being enforced... if you do not like them, change them.
No reason why taxes cannot be cut... if it serves a purpose... ultimately that is left up to Congress.
Supreme Court is not going to ban gay marriage... already settled law.
You fearing religion Nealy?

The Supreme Court ought to get out of doing Congress's job.

C'mon Nealy, just because he is in a cat fight with the super libs doesn't mean he is anti federalism. He absolutely loves Reagan and Ronnie was a big proponent of federalism. Its really the only way to go.

I posted evidence. You responded with feelings. Any evidence to support your claim? Btw, I had no idea that clean air and water was a liberal issue. Are conservatives pro-dirty air?

Don't count your bitter until it matasticizes.
Not bitter. In fact, we should put the right-wing agenda to its fullest extent. If it is the best policy program and it is the best thing for America, good for all of us. If it isn’t, maybe America can figure out a way to take the best ideas from all sides.

Since the New Deal could have only happened because of the Great Depression, it has to get worse before it gets better.
You're absolutely right. I really want to see the ultra right get complete control of the country. I saw what happens when the iron fist of ultra conservatism gets hold of a community. I fear for what my grandchildren will experience, but it's as you said. You have to go through hell before people come to their senses and strike a balance.
