I read somewhere there are over 375,000,000 guns and rifles in the United States. I suppose those are the ones that are registered. Probably quite a few which aren't.

Automatic weapons are already illegal. As is murder.

Taking away weapons, en masse, does not solve the problem of 5 or 6 nut jobs who contemplate or carry out mass shootings.

The cry of "We need to do something" should be 'We need to do something that will work." What that is I don't know. I am thinking no one knows.

Maybe it is the cost of doing business in a country as large as ours. Hate saying that, but every 'solution' that I see would not have prevented any of the recent mass shootings.
Pretty well summed up Richard. It’s unrealistic, unreasonable, and unfair to lawful gun owners to strip away every single assault rifle. Beto will not be president. And even if he is, he cannot get it done. Only a Republican can pass gun legislation.

Gun control is a dead issue. Democrats should give it up.

The only way it would occur is if African Americans and Hispanics were to excerise their Second Amedment rights and open carry in the suburbs. The GOP would change its tune right quick. It happened before: https://www.history.com/news/black-pant ... ulford-act

Just an observation, Kansas has a conceal carry law. So does Oklahoma. I spend a lot of time all over both states. Can honestly say, I've NEVER seen anyone who was carrying. I know they're there, but I've never seen them.

Just thinking: What would happen if legal gun owners staged a million man march on the National Mall -- each one packing a concealed weapon? Would the D. C. police try to stop them? Would the National Guard be called out to maintain armed vigilance?
Would the anti-gunners stage an equal sized march? Or, would it simply be peaceful and everyone go home safely afterwards.

My only prediction is that the national media would go absolutely, ape-crap, ballistic.

Concealed presumes you wouldn’t see it.

I've seriously considered concealed carry, but never have. My comfort zone with any handgun is somewhere close to 4 on a 10 scoreboard, so I'm not comfortable enough with my expertise to conceal carry. Keep a handgun in my vehicle. Another at my bedside.

Shotguns and rifle are like a 3rd hand to me -- well within my comfort zone, but out of the question for conceal carry.

I don't give a fiddler's f*ck about people who carry guns. As long as they are not pointed at me, I don't care.

I don't think the left will get peoples guns but they may get some of the ammo.
