I say bring in the press, but confine all of them to the Press Room. Never set foot on the convention floor or have an interview outside of the press room.

I expect something like you propose will end up happening. At the end of the day, the republicans would gain absolutely zero from even a scaled down convention if press is not there to report on what is happening.
