Mundane chores you hate?

Post by ToledoCat#2 » February 9th, 2020, 11:27 am

Let's go to a non-controversial theme just for fun.

Of all the mundane things that you do regularly, preferable on a daily basis, which one do you hate doing the most-- would scrap completely if possible."

Mine is easy: BRUSHING MY TEETH. I hate the taste of toothpaste. I hate the waste of time. I know, I should be (and am) glad that I have my original teeth. But I still hate brushing them daily.

Screwing around with diabetes paraphernalia twice a day. And counting carbs.

Don't have diabetes to deal with, but balance problems due to labrynthitis 10 years ago. It's a nuisance, but I don't hate dealing with it. It's just what it is and it ain't gonna change.

I'd be the same, but I've worn a short beard for more than 30 years. I just trim it up once a week normally. However, that said, I never enjoy turning on the electric razor or lathering up.

emptying the dishwasher.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

It doesn't really fit the criteria that I set for this thread, but I really hate to use any "drive thru" lanes for anything -- food, banks, meds, etc.

This thread feels like a setup for me to get busted by the wife...

I would say that I hate loading the dishwasher more than any other mundane chore. After 5.5 years of changing diapers, that's pretty old, too; but my little one is almost done and she's pretty sweet about the process compared to my oldest that was down right nasty (no pun intended).

I count it among my life's blessings that our kids came when it was still OK for mom to stay home and take care of the kids. I changed a few diapers in my life, but compared to today's "involved" dads, not very many. BTW, I think Dads today have got to share the kid duties when Mom is working, too. Kudus to you.

There aren't too many mundane chores that I like and some I have already eliminated. For example, I don't ever make the bed (unless company is coming and I think they might go into the bedroom for some reason). But I would have to say the one I hate the most is vacuuming.
