cold water black crappie up here in minnesota's glacial lakes are to die for. meaty and sweet, easy to cook, love 'em. in mhk, i often make salmon blt's with a fried egg on top. yummy duty.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

Seldom get to eat walleye, but that's my fav. Of KS common fish, can't beat crappie, followed by bluegills. Small bass are OK and catfish not so much unless in early spring after cold water winter.
