Anyone watching Jeopardy?

Post by Zoltar » April 17th, 2019, 4:03 pm

This champion, James Holzhauer, is amazing. Not only really smart but plays the game well and is aggressive. He lives in Vegas and is a professional gambler by trade. It is on at 6:00 pm in this area but well worth setting your DVR.

I hope I did not jinx him with this post. He won over $110K in one day.

Spoiler alert!

$131,127 today. New high total for one day. He is nearly at $70k a day now. Nearly $700K in 9 days, if I remember all the numbers from today.

The poor other contestants just sigh and they look like they're thinking, "I wasted a day or two off from work for this?"

This article says he did not miss a question on Wednesday. 40 for 40.

If you have not watched him play it is worth your time to tune in.

Thursday was the first day he appeared fallible. He did win again with over $70K and now is over $70K a day average.

I thought the other guy playing today might give him a game.

We always DVR Jeopardy.

James is over $800,000. This guy is quick on the trigger and quick of mind and it seems pretty well versed in a lot of subjects.

Because he answers so many questions he gets the double Jeopardy questions pretty regularly. Then he usually bets a lot of cash.

So far his method is working like a charm. I'm thinking it will also be his downfall when he misses on a large bet or two. However, that might be after a few million dollars in his pocket.

He missed 3 or 4 questions on Friday including a daily double but still ended up over $60K. Alex is already talking about him beating Jennings record. The way the game works a missed question or a few categories he is not good at but a competitor is will bring anyone down.

He is fast on the signaling device, does not miss many questions and is very aggressive on daily doubles. The only other way to beat him is to be as aggressive as he is.

They shoot a whole weeks worth of shows in one day. He has a real feel for the game over a newcomer. Someone may catch him on a latter taping where he may be a little tired.

He is very smart and impressive when playing the game.

The next step is for him, Jennings and Craig to have a 5 day total point event.

That would be interesting. Looks like he is going to pass 1 million tonight...we'll see if he gets final jeopardy tonight.

He wagers $50K on final Jeopardy today.

At the end of the game the two challengers both have decent totals today.

He's now blown thru a million.

I have yet to see a category he is totally unfamiliar with.

Amazing performance.
