72 today...80's on the horizon.

Get back to me in July and August about moving...

Ha! Very true. I'm sure summers in Texas can be pretty brutal. However, having grown up in Kansas and having spent nearly the past 25 years living in St. Louis, the summers up here can be almost as bad, but maybe don't last as long.

I like the four seasons, but winter is just too long for me. Even on a miserable hot, muggy day in July I can still honestly tell myself that it is still better than the bitter cold. By the way, it is snowing here tonight. Ugh.

I mowed my lawn today and bathed the dog and three horses.

I cant take winter anymore. At least in the summer you can be outside and like do things.

A few days ago we went to the KSU/TCU BB game and on the way home they were doing highway construction around midnight. It was 19. Felt really bad for those guys out there.

Last year I was praying for any moisture to end the year-long drought. Today I'm praying for some clear, dry weather because i'm tired of mucking around in the mud and slime.

NWS in Dodge just reported a pressure of 974 MB, lowest in over 100 years. No wonder it's windy.

We are in a "High Wind Watch" here in St. Louis for tomorrow from the same storm system. That means sustained winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. With all the rain we have had, there could be some big trees getting uprooted, not to mention power outages.

Edit: The watch has been changed (not surprisingly) to a warning.

1. it's always been schizo, no matter where you live. it's weather. I've looked at and studied records every place I've ever lived. the variance is amazing (within the tiny windows or total variance that we enjoy on this planet)
2. think it prepared you nicely for your current role as mod?

I don't like snow.
We had 12 inches in Reno County.
My long County drive is blocked.
Fortunately we didn't lose electricity and we have water and a flusher.
Plenty of food for us and the cats.
