I agree that Bobby Witt Jr, is excellent ballplayer with a bright future. I must be missing something but what MLB season records might he be in position to break. I'm curious of what you had in mind.

Witt, Jr. is on a tear. He's highly ranked in many categories with the historical figures in the game. If he stays healthy, he's will "out-Royal" George Brett.

He's already setting records for bat production in a month, for July 2024. Witt's in a bit of rarified air, with HOFs George Brett, Ty Cobb, and Rogers Hornsby:

The KC Royals just seem to be getting better & better as the 2024 Season goes on. The Royals just won 6 out of their last 7 games to push their record to 71-56, in a turnaround from multiple sub-.500 seasons the last several years. Lorenzen got the win, with 7 scoreless innings & Erceg picked up his six save as the Royals won 3-0 over the Los Angeles Angels, on 21 Aug, 2024.

Yesterday was a very important moment in the 2024 season. Winning a double header against first place Guardians in Cleveland to get within a game of Cleveland is a big accomplishment.

Pennant races are so interesting on a daily basis.
