KC Royals

Post by SCKSCat » July 1st, 2024, 12:05 pm

I have started following the Royals again.
3-1 Against Cleveland was impressive. I honestly thought when the series started, the Royals would crumble. So they are resilient.

It is so nice to have some real sports news during this summer lull. Man, about all of the news about the Chiefs is about Travis and Taylor, makes me want to eat grass and barf.

Yep, the recent Royals have re-amped my enthusiasm for following them daily. They are fun to watch.

When was the last time the Royals had a starter who led the American League in victories?
Jeff Lugo is leading with 11. He has had two other starts he could of won with hitting support.

Sweeping the Cards in 2 games.
Nice.
I hope they can make a deal for some good relievers.
The Boston series will be a good guage on where we are at.

Even though I don't follow professional baseball any more, I am nevertheless happy to hear about the Royals sweeping the Cardinals. For the most part, It was pretty brutal watching those series when I lived in St. Louis.

KC is in a battle with Boston for a wildcard spot. So this upcoming series is pretty important

Good game. KC battlled well. Hot humid weather. The T (MBTA) was very crowded. KC fans were well represented.

If you ever get a chance to see a game in Fenway... strongly consider it!

Bobby Witt, Jr. is an awesome player, and I'm glad the Royals have locked him up for a few years. He's batting like .500 in July 2024, with numbers of hits, runs, etc. that have only been achieved like four times in Baseball history before. He's playing at an MVP level and is the Cog in the Royals' resurgence this season. If he's healthy the rest of the year, Witt could challenge some MLB season records as well.
