Count Chocolate was the worst. I didn't like malt-o-mill. I liked mom's homemade oatmeal with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins.
I liked Count Chocula as a kid. It had marshmallows and it turned the milk into chocolate milk. I also liked Franken Berry and Boo Berry. Between all of the sugar and the artificial colors and flavors, it was probably super unhealthy for us. It was a treat, though. I could eat Malt-o-Meal, but it wasn't my favorite.
I'm with you on the oatmeal. It's hard to beat. When I make it today, I add real butter, cinnamon, a touch of maple syrup, and blueberries.

My dad and mom loved the big shredded wheat chunks.
As a kid this erk, gag
Sometimes on the farm when money was tight due to poor crops or low prices we as a family ate shredded wheat for periods because this was cheap and dad liked them.
Then my sister used honey on her hunk of wheat one morning.
Eureka!! Wonderful.
Then they invented mini wheats with brown sugar and honey
