Chiefs!! Throw out your thoughts thread
Re: Chiefs!! Throw out your thoughts thread
It's not rocket science. Improved pass-rush has lead to improved play in the secondary. It really is that simple. People have a tendency to overthink these things. Does Sorenson suck when he's expected to play coverage on even the most unathletic tight-ends in the game? Yes, if the quarterback can hold the ball for five to seven seconds.

I was as wrong as heck. Several wire services had Mathieu listed as questionable on the injured list. I am glad he played. They said that his knee was swelling. I hope the week off helps.

Who would of thought that the D would be winning games for the Chiefs and Sorenson would be a game hero. I am confused, but happy.

The SIX dropped passes, including two by our beloved Byron Pringle, and one by Hill that turned a big gain into an interception had as much to do with Mahomes' seemingly anemic numbers as anything else. There have been times this year, however, that he has really struggled with his accuracy....last night he planted several passes at the feet of open receivers.

no. but I am a little concerned about Kelce. doesn't look like same player this year. from what I've seen, he's not moving as free, well. looks like maybe he's carrying a little more weight?
tough to really say, since ability to watch the Chiefs is limited here in Titan land.

Football "analytics" really took one on the chin last night.

Kind of hard to make up not having Kelce and Butker for the Steelers game.
Both are in covid reserves

noticed that!
hopeful that it makes me all kinds of wrong in my original post.
might just be that the defenses have decided on forcing the Chiefs to be mature about their approach. workmanlike... more meat/potatos; less flash...
they get the patience part down ... combined with how effective the chiefs d has been playing... they're a very dangerous team.
and there's a part of me that's frankly enjoying the thought of a bunch of old guy receivers (tight hammies) at Tampa Bay possibly having to play at Lambeau in late Jan...
