When caught in an "emergency" while in a native grass pasture, do not use the soft-fern-like leaves of the Yarrow plant as substitute toilet paper. The leaves smell like Vicks and have the same effect on soft human tissue. Hard lesson learned as a kid.

There are certain things meant to be shoved up your butt like a rectal thermometer, suppositories, and a scope for a colonoscopy
Some things are not.

In France, old guy shoved a WW1 artillery shell up his rectum and a bomb squad was called.
Why would you do such a thing?
Constipation?
Sexual gratification?
Seek fame?

At the end of the article, it said the man was in "good health." I would question that -- at least his mental health.
