The global warming folks have got one thing right -- the changing climate is hard to live through and poses real danger.

(-7.7 degrees and -25 degrees wind chill today and colder tonight and tomorrow) ')

I have to bundle up and gather eggs twice a day to keep all the eggs from freezin'.

Pick 'Em

Not quite as bad in the Dallas area, but crummy all the same. Homes down here are not built to combat 4 degree weather.

We have three heating units. One in the kitchen/dining area is on the fritz. No heat. Repairman supposedly coming Thursday. The other down stairs furnace is set at 76, but temperature in that area is 67. Just cant keep up.

Water in barn is frozen. Trundling water from the house to 14 horses in one gallon jugs. Fun. We were getting the water from the kitchen, but now that line is frozen.

Now we schlep from the down stair bathroom to the barn.

What a mess.

Ugh, RZ. Sounds like some of my winter days in Iowa, only I was lugging just for 1 horse and 6 Brittany bird dogs.

No fun at all.

I've a HS buddy who lives in Bowie, TX, and he's freezing his ass off, too.

All we're had are 2 rolling blackouts -- but one for 4 hours this a.m. -- house got down to 60 degrees.
