How about those Chiefs!
With the fizzle ending to Wildcat football and the disappointing year for basketball, the Chiefs have kept my fandom lusts somewhat satisfied. They will help me get through January and part of February hopefully. Then the Cat ladies can get me through to spring. Maybe the Royals will have another good year as well.

The Chiefs are good -- but they've ridden the Lucky Horse a lot to get to their record. Hope that Lucky Horse doesn't go lame at the wrong time. ;)

On Monday, Caesars announced a bettor wagered $1.3 million on the Chiefs moneyline – easily the biggest public bet so far on this matchup.
Looks like Charles Barkley is at it again.

The masses are stupidly hollering the are winning because of crooked rigged officiating. All these moron are doing is pissing Mahomes. I would not be surprised if the Chiefs give the Bills a beat down. Chiefs fans are going to be hollering, spitting and foaming at the mouth. Maybe Taylor going nuts also.

It was never going to be a beatdown. The Bills are a legit darn good team with most likely the 2025 NFL MVP Josh Allen. The Chiefs beat a far better team than the Eagles did, as Washington had Jayden Daniels but not a great team behind him.SCKSCat wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2025, 12:29 amThe masses are stupidly hollering the are winning because of crooked rigged officiating. All those whiner Chiefs' haters, complaining about a first-half completion to Worthy that should've been an incompletion are ridiculous! A pass-interference call was declined that would've given the ball to the Chiefs at roughly the same place anyway. The Chiefs made the plays on offense & defense to win the game either way in the second-half, regardless.

bills seem like a lot of what i see from the chiefs. great quarterback dude. tough mindset. not as well coached though.
i felt sorry for josh allen at the end. small school wyoming quarterback who many thought would fail in the big boy league. anyway, glad patrick won, sorry josh lost.
why doesn't felix play more? he's seemingly productive in the few snaps he sees the field.

Good question TM. When Omenihu came back the snaps for Felix dropped. Plus Danna has proven to be a good player so that doesn’t leave many snaps for Felix. But he appears to be getting better.
Next year will be different. The Chiefs have a number of really good players at the end of their contracts, including Omenihu. The Chiefs can’t match what other teams will offer so several will be gone. It’ll come down to who do they want and for what dollars.
Also, If they do 3Peat I’d expect they’ll say they’re going for 4 but I think they’ll really be in a small rebuild with losing so many good players due to the cap.
Long winded answer, Felix will be playing a lot more next year. That’ll be his third year of a five year contract.

I know a lot of people think the Chiefs are lucky or that they get all the calls and that may be true to a small amount, to me I see what is maybe the greatest situational football team to ever play. The Chiefs, and it is led by Andy Reid, are prepared for every situation and just seem to always make whatever play they need to make in that particular situation. Andy also has great confidence in his players and the team has incredible confidence that they will make the play that needs to be made at the time. Sure it might seem lucky, but at some point you have to just admit that they are usually more prepared than the other team.
If they need a FG or Xpoint blocked, they are prepared and get it blocked. Seems lucky as rarely do you see kicks blocked in the NFL, but the Chiefs did it twice this year late in games. Can't just be due to luck. They are prepared for it. Having to kill the clock last night to ice the game, most teams don't have the guts or confidence to throw the ball, Chiefs threw it twice, although short, safe passes, if they drop it, the clock stops and the coach is questioned big time for giving the other team more time. Andy has confidence that his guys will make the play. But that confidence comes from preparation. They have done it a hundred times before, so they are ready when the time comes.
They might get a call here or there but that is a stupid narrative. Buffalo had three chances to stop the Chiefs and gave up 10 points and let them kill the clock and the supposed MVP had 3:20 left and three timeouts and couldn't get it done. Wasn't prepared for the moment. He shifted his protection the wrong way and although he almost made a miracle play, had he looked left and dumped it to his motion guy, #10 was running for awhile. But he wasn't prepared for the moment and had to rely on a prayer.
The Chiefs are winners that make plays to win games and they make them because they are prepared and uber-confident.

Not taking a thing away from the Chiefs, but there has been some lucky wins and call this year.
i.e, the one-inch out-of-bounds in the first game; the field goal to end the game that hit the uprights and bounced through, several key calls by the officials that could have gone either way, but went the Chief's way, the Bills' tight end that dropped the hail-Mary pass in the 4th quarter.
The "lucky force" has been on the Chief's side a lot this season -- and I'm damned glad it has been.

I don't see the Chiefs resigning Omenihu. He's been hurt every year He's been with the team. He's a decent player, but not a "Chris Jones" type to completely take over a game. I think Felix will continue to improve & get more PT next season. He's bulked up quite a bit and seems to be handling Offensive Lineman better & better.tmcats wrote: ↑January 27th, 2025, 1:00 pmbills seem like a lot of what i see from the chiefs. great quarterback dude. tough mindset. not as well coached though.
