Total sarcasm if you couldnt tell. I guess mediocre is the plan for the foreseeable future. First year I havent bought season tickets since 1997. After the 20th time the ticket office called I finally let them know that it's too long of a drive to watch them lose most games. Told them to call me back when their patience with Mittie has run out, because mine already has.

Difficult to believe GT would bite. Far too many negatives. Haven’t seen the terms but hoping the buyout is very low. Who’s next?

mittie's put pretty average teams on the floor since arriving and, unbelievably, just lost the best player in kansas to ames. tormenting. he's a good coach, i guess, but certainly shouldn't be making $500,000-600,000 a year. put him at half that salary and i'd be fine with him staying. wbb just doesn't matter much anymore at k-state. i dropped my season tickets before the end of patterson's run.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

Interesting that (1) Mittie gets a $240,000 signing bonus if he stays until April 14, 2020 and (2) the press release fails to mention KState’s buyout if he is terminated prior to the end of the contract. That kind of omission is bad form, unless there is no buyout, which I find hard to believe. Maybe it’s mentioned elsewhere but I’ve not found it.
“Under the new deal, Mittie is set to earn $550,000 in salary during the 2019-20 season. That figure will increase to $670,000 by the final year of his contract.
He is also scheduled to receive a retention bonus of $240,000 if he remains at K-State on April 14, 2020.
If Mittie chooses to terminate his new contract and leave for another job, he will owe K-State a buyout of $175,000.”
