I have no words
I have admittedly been very critical of this team this year. Tonight they've played the most complete game I've seen them play in a long time. If we could get some consistency out of this team they would be an upper half team in this league. How you lose to ku on your home floor and then smash #11 Texas 3 days later is maddening. Congrats girls, please keep it up!

Not to make excuses, but I guess I will anyway. Mittie mentioned on his Monday night radio show that several of the players were sick for the KU game. Also, Jones was very limited due to an ankle sprain. From the play tonight, it would appear that the sickness has subsided, and Jones was definitely much more mobile tonight. As already mentioned, it also helps when we hit shots. We played zone defense the entire game. For the most part, it was very effective and took Texas out of their offensive game. I think we will easily beat KU in Lawrence. This team shows signs of continued improvement.

I think some are underestimating the improvement of KU. They are not a bottome dweller Big 12 team this year.
I’ll agree...when we’re healthy and are able to hit some 3 pointers - we are a very good team at times.
There’s just much margin of error with our lack of depth and inconsistency.
That makes each game and the rest of the conferenc season hard to predict.

KU being led by Schiender will only continue to improve I'm sure. When he was coach at D2, Emporia State, from 1998 to 2010 his teams only failed to make the NCAA tournament 1 time. They still had a winning record that year. Regional finalist twice and no less than Sweet 16 every other year with 2 final 4's and national championship. They will become a force in the Big 12 once he has "all" his players. This is only his 4th season there. It's going to tougher to beat them from now on for sure.

ku does have seven seniors this year and the majority of his best players will graduate so he will definitely need to recruit well to fill the holes.
