ku has lost 4 of their last 5 but have been competitive in each losing by but 7 to tcu. they have an all-conference guard, s'mya nichols, who can flat out play the game. they also added a nice portal player from north dakota state, elle evans. their best win was over a very good oSu team earlier in the schedule, 75-66. they lost by 14 at ames.
the university of kansas was founded in 1863 and sits atop a hill known at the time as "hogback ridge." the name was changed to mt. oread sometime later to satisfy some sort of uppity need. a former governor, charles robinson, donated the 40-acre ridge and a wealthy city father, amos lawrence, donated $10,000 to get the school to his town rather than the alternative, emporia. in 1873, the first degree granted was to an abolitionist preacher, richard cordley, from the school of divinity. cordley was associated with the jayhawkers. as such, he was hunted but not found by william quantrill during the latter's burning of lawrence. today, ~30,000 students matriculate atop the hogback and spend much of their day clapping their hands and chanting at rocks embed in the area.

The Cats are up 37 to 25 at the half. They are 6 of 12 on 3's and shooting 60% from the field. Sundell and Walker have 2 fouls each. 8 fouls for the Cats to only 3 fouls on KU. The officiating has been odd to say it politely. We need to get the ball inside more with more scoring from the 5 position.

From sound and crowd shots on the TV, it looks like quite a few K-State fans made the trip.

Not sure why KU is wearing those awful powder blue uniforms. They are ugly.

Looks like the Cats are definitely trying to work the ball inside more this half. I think the K-State's depth will wear down KU.
