Not a good game by the ladies today. Played very average. Lee wasn’t near herself. Missed many bunnies. Defense wasn’t what it has been. The biggest thing is hopefully this poor loss doesn’t cost us a top 4 seed.
Announcers don’t really know much. Lots of babbling. Not much in real facts.

I will tell you we will not win a tournament game if we come out and play like that. Very sloppy. Lots of bad passes and missed bunnies not to mention giving up too many easy shots. That was a not a top 25 today. Hopefully it’s just an anomaly and not the direction they’re heading. It is the only poor loss on the record. All others are to top 25 teams.

Agreed on the missed bunnies. Ayoka missed a lot of shots she usually makes today.bhoovy wrote: ↑February 25th, 2024, 3:57 pmI will tell you we will not win a tournament game if we come out and play like that. Very sloppy. It is very difficult to win in ref aided Hilton and we lost in double OT. And OU is the #1 team in the conference. Losing at those places are not unheard of. THIS was our only bad road loss. We played scared. And just trying to hang on the whole game.

Both those games were against top opponents on their court. That’s always hard in college basketball. Today was the first game they really didn’t play well that cost them. They’ve gotten away with a couple others but today is the only one to bite them. The only team to likely not play in the ncaa tournament. The others weren’t bad losses.

I agree with the bad loss but don’t know about scared. They seem to play lackadaisical the first quarter and not very inspired most the rest the game.

I never said they were “bad losses.” They are games in which we had a clear chance to win and didn’t. That applies to today. Completely independent of whether the opponent is ranked or not, good or bad, etc.bhoovy wrote: ↑February 25th, 2024, 3:59 pmBoth those games were against top opponents on their court. We had the chance to win today and were in control, and we lost it just like we did in those other games.
I don’t care if anyone agrees with me, but I never said they were “bad losses” in accordance with the definition you choose to use.

The two biggest things about today’s loss was it was to a poor team and may cost us a top 4 seed and maybe not. And it has cost us any chance at a tie for the conference title.
I did think ku was allowed to played pretty physical ball and not much called. But we didn’t come out ready to play.
It was their superbowl. Move on. We have bigger fish to fry.
