Unsure why we beat some good teams but struggle in others.. I don’t know. Good win. The next three games are winnable…

Cats win 87 to 68 by shooting 60% from the field and 45% on 3's. I was only able to watch about the last 14 minutes of the game. From what I saw, the Cats were successful playing man to man defense. They out rebounded Baylor 31 to 26. Four Cats were in double figures, both of the Glenn's, Sundell, and Gregory with 26 points. Maupin had 9 points with 6 rebounds and showed a presence in the post. She played with confidence. Great game by the Cats!

Maupin seemed to mature in this game right before our eyes. She's uber athletic and can jump like a cat -- quick and high. She can hit free throws pretty well, so she has shooting skills, too.

Wonderful win to watch. Entirely enjoyable. Mittie (or someone) called several out-of-bounds plays that worked to perfection.

Basketball is a pretty simple game -- put the ball through the hoop more than the opponent and get the win.

Good win. as well as i've seen them play this year. Game looks pretty easy when you shoot 60% and 45% from 3.

two differences i saw were sundell posting up and maupin making significant contributions on both ends. both are very athletic. baylor could not guard sundell in the post. maupin is noticeably improved. gabby gregory is always going to contribute if others give her support. no different last night as she scored 26, sundell 20.

it was one enjoyable watch after the men's losses at ou and txt. the women are indeed an enigma with wins over baylor, iowa, and iowa state but then getting housed by other teams. maybe this is a turning point. ku up next. :)

Dang I finally miss a game and they dominated. I guess I should quit watching from now on, huh? HaHa

For several games now, K-State has worked on having Sundell post up against smaller guards. She is starting to execute posting up much better. This was indeed one of the keys to the Cat's success last night. Maupin is only a freshman, and she is showing much improved offensive play in the post. She is also rebounding and defending better too as she gains experience. K-State's starting lineup includes three sophomores with Maupin coming in off the bench as a freshman. I think the inexperience factor is the main reason for the enigma. As these players continue to improve their execution, it will take some of the pressure off Gregory. This team is capable of making a run in the Big 12 tournament.
