Our free throws must be contested as the percentages suggest

Just curious. How do you “contest” free throws?

Don’t know but our average percentages (with individual exceptions) certainly don’t appear to be too “free.” Thus, I was surmising they must somehow be “contested.”

One year, I hope the Cats can put together a team that will collectively shoot over 70%

😂 I will have to remember that one! I did coach with a guy once who liked to tell kids.... they are called “free” throws for a reason! 😝

In 2017-18 we did shoot 73.3% from the free throw line. But yeah it ought to happen regularly.

"socks, shorts, one, two, three, swish." that was the free-throw chant iu fans gave alford's routine as he shot at a 90% clip. knight soon put an end to it though. cranky old bastard.

We had a hypnotist come in one year and worked with the kids and our free throw % went up dramatically! But when a few parents found out about it they went nuts! And in hindsight I don’t blame them.
