So more wins in both football and basketball than Texas during that time and don’t have half the resources or ranks in recruiting classes.

Is there any other school that has done less with more??

And for that matter, might it be said that KSU might be the school that’s done more with less in terms of recruiting rankings and resources for both football and basketball combined?? Although the football facilities are nothing to sneeze at.

k-state has hired some fine coaches starting with bill snyder who was probably the third, fourth, or fifth choice back in '88. so, jon wefald absolutely lucked out with that one as snyder turned out to be a legend.

basketball blew it letting dana go at least as it played out historically. tan tom and wooly were awful hires. then wefald struck gold again having huggins available here for a year to assemble some talent with which frank had a nice run. john currie's bruce weber hire, although controversial at the time, brought continued quality basketball with few exceptions.

it's all about quality people, no matter the activity, institution, or profession. dogs don't produce at any level. they just hang around, bark a lot and consume resources needlessly, see ron prince.
