I thought the coach that caused the violations was Lamont Evans. He wasn't an assistant under Boynton. Am I missing something? I may be, as I haven't paid too much attention to the OSU matter.

Lamont Evans served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Cowboy basketball program for the 2016-17 season, and was OSU's associate head coach from March 28, 2017 through Sept. 28, 2017. Evans was in the same role at South Carolina for the previous four seasons helping to rebuild the Gamecocks program with head coach Frank Martin. oSu
brad underwood hired lamont evans at oSu off frank martin's usc'e staff. when underwood left for illinois, boynton hired evans for his new oSu staff and promoted him. he was then fired after the fbi sting. oSu has nothing to whine about. two of their coaches hired this rascal, and poke basketball is now paying the price.

Jon Rothstein
@JonRothstein
Sources: Oklahoma State's Yor Anei intends to transfer.
6-10 big man will be eligible immediately next season.
Averaged 8.1 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 1.9 BPG last year.
Players don't want to stick around and not play in the postseason when the lack of visibility will hurt their future careers.

Yes, and he is from Shawnee Mission South in Overland Park, KS.
However, I don't know if his skills are seen as a need for the team and/or if he would get the playing time/style he wants to help his future career.

He would have to sit out a year if he transfers to a Big 12 program.
Pretty sure he can play immediately if transferring to a school outside the Big 12.

He is filing a waiver to become immediately eligible, but due to NCAA bylaws in regards to programs that have come under sanctions, it will be approved. It should allow him to go anywhere, Big 12 school or otherwise.xtrawildcat wrote: ↑June 16th, 2020, 4:49 pmHe would have to sit out a year if he transfers to a Big 12 program.
