Maybe they just have a little more humility and smaller ego than some. But regardless of how they did it, he improved quite a bit over his career.

I almost never take any coach at their word. They all use coach-speak, they have to...as many times as they are put up in front of the cameras. Weber actually does say more than most coaches, but do you really think he didn't want to just stand up there and rip his team a couple (more than a couple) times this year???
I won't even take players for what they say. Most of them have already learned the coach-speak too.

Very wise Jokko. I can tell you there’s a lot of things that we would like to say but don’t. Same with players. We learn from experience to be politically correct. Unless they boil over in frustration coaches don’t want to be in the news for saying what’s going on during the tough times.JOKKO wrote: ↑March 30th, 2020, 9:34 amI almost never take any coach at their word. Like I said, they may have more humility than most.
I don’t know what they said but obviously Wade was ahead of the other bigs we’ve brought in. But, he also improved.
One area he improved tremendously was the defensive end. He was a terrific defender his last two years which isn’t mentioned much. Good feet for a big man, in position, stayed out of foul trouble.

More Shane Southwell recruiting.
Groom him to eventually replace Weber when he retires.
Southwell is selling Weber to recruits.

I seem to remember some idiot assistant coach had Wade convinced that he should not put the ball on the floor.

Which assistant are you referring to? Just curious.
