Henry “Bill” Walker
Found this on Twitter: it’s a good read. Man he was great here and could jump out the gym.

Thanks for posting! Those were obviously the good old days of K-State recruiting!
This is probably a fairly common career path for a ++ college star not quite good enough to have a multi-year NBA career. It would be interesting to know roughly how much a guy with this history earns over 10 years, and whether it's enough to last to and through retirement. Obviously a lot of variables there but assuming reasonably prudent investment and spending habits. You'd like (or at least I'd like) to think they can be financially set for life. I often wonder how an NBA scrub spends his $10 million.

What could have been. Imagine, in an alternate universe, if Walker and Beasley had stayed for 4 years with Pullen. I think they win it all.

...and maybe a more mature Beasley has a respectable NBA career.bigpurpleman wrote: ↑March 11th, 2020, 9:29 amWhat could have been. Imagine, in an alternate universe, if Walker and Beasley had stayed for 4 years with Pullen. I think they win it all.

I'm not even sure 3 more years in college would have made Beasley more mature. Keep in mind he got in trouble at Miami with Mario Chalmers (who was older) and he got in trouble with the Suns for the same drug issues.ksume2000 wrote: ↑March 11th, 2020, 12:32 pm...and maybe a more mature Beasley has a respectable NBA career.bigpurpleman wrote: ↑March 11th, 2020, 9:29 amWhat could have been. He may have also had a much different NBA career if he was drafted somewhere besides Miami. Because Miami went all in on Lebron, Bosh and Wade, they couldn't afford Beasley. Yet they liked him enough to bring him back 2 times more after the 3 left Miami. Have to wonder what would have happened if they built a team around him and Wade instead of bringing in Lebron and Bosh.
