Oh....I see. This is another one of those "i'm a better fan than you" threads that inexplicably seem to dominate the basketball forum.

Got it. By all means then, carry on.

Willie I don’t really care who shows up when. Posters are entitled to their own opinions. Just stating the facts that a few show up more during a bad season. Pretty easily provable.

As I said, carry on then. I'll be anxiously awaiting the outcome of the latest good fan vs bad fan thread.

It's hard to watch a game when the game isn't on TV, but, hey this isn't the 1970s when you could actually watch a KSU game on TV. Thank God for progress and no greed from the athletic department, right?
What KSU game could you watch on TV in the seventies. Maybe two or three a year. I think you have your decades confused by two or three.

In the '70s for most of the games, your choices were WIBW radio or going to the game itself. The games were all sold out so that did not leave much of a choice.
Win the dang day!

In the 70s there were only 3 stations - it was huge when Fox network was launched

I think you're misinterpreting things a bit, Willie. This thread is about apathy. Real fans don't become apathetic. They may get disgusted, angry and vent their frustrations, but true fans will always show interest in their team. A real fan will continue to be interested to see if any of the younger players begin to step up. They'll be interested in attitudes and how that might relate to the future. They might not forego an important function when their team is not doing well; they might not travel 100 miles and make a huge sacrifice if the team is not doing well, but they will always be interested in what is happening with their team. My grandfather was a Cubs fan through all the dismal years, but I could always find him listening to a Cubs game from the front seat of his Buick whenever we would come down for a visit. What about the long years of frustration for Chiefs fans? The real fans might have not bought season tickets every year, but I'm sure they weren't apathetic.
