Hear he’s in bad health. Never a fan (I don’t like bullies) but he was a very good coach at Indy.

Very emotional stuff. Sad to see everyone aging so much.

don't look in the mirror, Learnin'.

I'm a bobby knight fan. not of some of his behaviors. but I also recognize that had my son been talented enough to play for Bobby, I'd have wanted that experience for him.

bobby's one of those folks that is very clear about his expectations. it's at that point you can make it easy on him, or hard on yourself. just a simple choice.

I don't forget how many of his players loved the guy.

I must admit I got a little misty eyed watching Coach Knight be recognized by the home crowd and being congratulated by his former players.

I really like him as an announcer....

bobby knight was just an incredibly gifted basketball coach. the last coach to win the olympics with college players. his 1976 indiana undefeated national champions are considered by some the best team ever, but the '75 one-loss hoosiers were better. they lost scott may to a broken arm and went down 92-90 to uk in the e8. if not for that injury, it would have been two consecutive championships and 62-straight wins.

and ya, i got teared-up watching that scene yesterday. all those great players surrounding him: isiah thomas, quinn buckner, scott may, steve green, kent benson, on and on. these two pictures juxtaposed. geezzz, the years. it closed a very large hole in indiana basketball lore though, his return. hopefully, his name graces the assembly hall court soon and many a brookie rise to his bait.
