Monmouth Game Notes and Thread
Monmouth is 1 and 1 with a victory over Lehigh.
Another chance to see how this team will develop. One or two games won't tell us. Will take half way through the Big 12 season before we know and maybe not even then.
Three freshmen need to slowly become a bigger part of our offense.

I'm not sure if defer is the right word. Maybe engage them more in the offense. So maybe Carti needs to looking to pass more.

Maybe, but this early in the year, who knows. I remember vividly driving to Tulsa last December 8th and watching a team with three program cornerstone seniors playing with two juniors and two sophomores and looking as bad as a team can look on offense and losing that game. So, even with Barry, Dean and Kam in their senior year, we lost a game similar to the UNLV game a month later in the year.

I agree only I think the Tulsa game was worse and the reasons you mention. While the Tulsa game was close it just felt like we were never really in it. At least we seemed to show a pulse in the second half of the unlv game and with frosh helping to provide it.Gorhoops wrote: ↑November 13th, 2019, 3:33 pm

I would think that we would should have at least two players every game who can make baskets.
Maybe different players but at least some one. No one this half though. Absolutely terrible performance so far.
8 - 28 and 0 -10 and 3 - 6. Pretty simple.
