and others are in the ncaa's crosshairs. i heard frank martin is a candidate for the idaho job. i presume usc,e has told him to find someplace else before it all blows up in columbia over his crooked recruiting.

Those expected to be in the crosshairs and face the most significant penalties include: Louisville, North Carolina State, Kansas, Arizona, LSU, USC, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and Auburn. TCU, Creighton and Clemson all also had assistant coaches implicated in the scandal and could face sanctions

Probably some NCAA officials should be held accountable as well. They were either complicit or unwilling to do their jobs and risk losing revenue. If they had done their job from the get-go this whole mess would have never happened.

How about the judge who refused to allow the Townsend tape into evidence? The FBI had a tape where the KU assistant coach said they'd do what it takes to sign Zion Williamson over Duke. So who was the judge protecting KU or Dook? The NCAA has already stated they would ignore the tape because it wasn't entered into evidence.

thankfully, there are guys like mike brey and bruce weber in the profession.

Notre Dame’s Mike Brey told Yahoo this winter: "We must get it right. We all just feel that something has to happen this time. We've got to flush it all out or we're going to lose credibility."

Weber is too quiet. I understand not wanting to be a snitch, but the integrity of the game is on the line. Collecting millions and staying quiet when you know there is rampid corruption is wrong, imo.

I'm glad Bruce does it right, but it's time to start a coaches hotline where they can sell out cheaters.

And this is precisely why the NCAA is acting.....coaches, like Brey, demanding they do something this time.

Oh, I think they will give the "appearance" of doing something, but it won't be anything of significance IMO. The punishments will likely involve a school losing a couple scholarships or being banned from post season play for a year to two. But those type of punishments will have little or no effect on the offending schools in the long run.

So, in essence, you are right. Nothing (of significance) will happen, especially to the blue bloods. It will be business as usual.
