I'm no expert but the game seems more wide open with fewer set plays and less focus on D. Just more up and down, spread the floor and create or fire away. Dean seemed to play much like he has in the past but already seems less hesitant to pull the trigger. He has such great fundamentals that he should be able to adjust to the speed of the game and still be under control and make good decisions.xtrawildcat wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2019, 12:43 pmI honestly didn't see much difference in the way he played the game versus what he did at KSU. In the 4th quarter he posted up a little, drove in and spun for a fadeaway, and did some pick and pops. Biggest difference to me was the pick and pops are futher away from the basket due to the NBA line and there was nobody there to double team him every time he got the ball in the post area.katlander wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2019, 12:14 pmI am now a hesitant Cavs fan. I will buy the T-shirt once Dean steps on the court in regular season play. One observation is that its a very different game then he has played before. I think it may play to his skill set once he adapts. I have no doubt he is good enough if not bitten by the injury bug.

Did anybody see him play last night and how did he do. I only watched from the middles of the third quarter on and he did not play at all. I expect they were wanting to get a look at Osentoski.
One problem I see for him on this Cavs team is they have Dylan Windler drafted number 26 in the first round who is also 6ft 7 , has the same skill set as Dean but is quicker. Maybe both will make the Cavs roster.

I see Wade as a long playing top sub in the NBA. He will be solid always with points rebounds passing

I watched most of 2nd half and he did not play, The Box Score was all zeros, so I do not think he played at all last night. There were several others on team that did not play at all. Hopefully, he will play tonight.

Read that they gave him the night off to rest. I am sure they know the history and as much as they played him the night before and want to see the other guy, just let him sit a game instead of playing 3 nights in a row.

They are more interested in evaluating all the players on the summer league team so that makes sense. They got a good look at Osentoski and if that guy could get consistent from three, he might have a role.Watutalkaboutwillis wrote: ↑July 3rd, 2019, 12:43 pmRead that they gave him the night off to rest. Dean’s agent has it in his contract for him not to play back to back games during the summer league season.
Ostenkowski will either have to lose enough weight to guard or maybe learn HOW to guard to play much for anybody.

Looked like a Big 12 reunion last night.
Former Wildcats Nigel Johnson & Michael Orris played for the Cavs G-Leaugue team recently.
