Re: Report and Video on a Dejuan Gordon Game
That’s the first video of Gordon I’ve watched. I was impressed. He looks like a player who will excel in Weber’s system offensively. Nice stroke from 3. Solid handles. Able to drive and finish in traffic. Made a nice drive and kick. Has enough size to guard multiple positions. Hard to tell from one video, but he looks like the most complete guard prospect we’ve brought in in a long time. As Puff said, he’ll need to learn better D and his work ethic and other intangibles will matter, but it sure looks like he has the basic tools to be very good.

What did you think of Gordon. He is playing out of position a bit but do you see him being a contributor after he learns how to play defense.
I definitely think he will be a good fit I hadn’t realized till now he’s going to k-state so I hadn’t been watching very closely to him in particular. I am going to the state championship in March and I expect to see bogan in 3a and curie in 4a going for the state finalxtrawildcat wrote: ↑January 14th, 2019, 3:09 pmWhat did you think of Gordon. Yes, 4A is the largest school class in illinois. 3-A has many strong programs, including some within the city of Chicago, and turns out great players-e.g. Fred VanVleet. But it would be a rare year where you felt like the best 3A team is better than the best 4A. For an example, Edwardsville, where Mark Smith went, is the only high school in a town of about 25,000, and it is 4A.
My home town is 12,000 and 4A and I hate it we should be mid 3 in my opinion.Highway26north wrote: ↑January 14th, 2019, 8:02 pmYes, 4A is the largest school class in illinois. 3-A has many strong programs, including some within the city of Chicago, and turns out great players-e.g. Fred VanVleet.
