Hence, my 'Woe is us' comment in another thread.

Yep. this basketball season............... has become a court version.......... of the football season. one big disappointment.
And with ISU thumping the Payhawks today, you can probably chalk up 2 extra tics in the loss column ahead.

In a perfect world, everyone would choose hard work, morals and ethics over obscene money and fame. And everyone outside of Lowrents would be required to be a red blooded, card carrying Payhawk hater.

There is no reason our offensive numbers should be that bad. We may not be the most talented offensive group in the country, but we have individuals with some offensive ability. It’s become psychological at this point. You can tell no one actually thinks their shot is going in.

Yeah, the shooting issues have clearly gotten into their heads. That is painfully obvious on both threes and free throws. The only silver lining is that sort of thing can go away if some of the shots start to drop. One reason it is so important to get Dean back is the psychological lift he can provide.Piedmontcat wrote: ↑January 5th, 2019, 11:19 pmThere is no reason our offensive numbers should be that bad. Bear in mind these numbers include a whole bunch of Dean Wade and Kam Stokes as well.

ISU is the program that we should emulate. Their talent level is way above ours, and their style of play fits their talent. I'm jealous of them. They've beaten KU 6 out of the last 11 games (and had at least one of those stolen from them by officials). Wouldn't that be something that would generate excitement in our program? Instead, we continue to lose to KU, and feel sorry for ourselves.epicsnyder wrote: ↑January 5th, 2019, 9:57 pmYep. this basketball season............... has become a court version.......... of the football season. one big disappointment.

How does Iowa State find these talented players who can shoot the basketball? And why can't we? This is a subject for an entirely new thread, that I may start soon.
